The Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of our Barre, VT rk MILES location. Essential functions for the Manager include the ability to manage the departmental budget and sales goals; be responsible for maintaining adequate inventory levels and communicating with buyers; initiate sales programs designed to generate new project leads; build and maintain strong customer relationships; participate in the hiring, orientation and training of new employees; be responsible for the safety and security of the facility; and ensure that company policies and procedures are being adhered to by employees.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Knowledge of basic building applications
- Strong management skills including the ability to communicate effectively and motivate employees, lead by example and respect others.
- Ability to use good, solid judgment
- Must be a team player, have a positive attitude, and be open-minded and fair
- Ability to handle competing priorities and proven ability to be organized and accurate.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.

Individual will be responsible for manufacturing products (primarily building materials & millwork) and preparing estimates and quotes based on a list of products or drawings. Thanks to the continued growth and success of our Doors & Windows department, we are searching for the perfect candidate to join our team at our Manchester Doors and Windows Showroom. Qualified applicants will have exceptional customer service skills and a strong passion for sales. Responsibilities include assisting contractor and retail customers with all aspects of millwork and special-order purchases in addition to preparing detailed estimates and placing orders with vendors.
The perfect candidate will have strong interpersonal and computer skills, be detail-oriented and must have the ability to problem-solve and build successful business relationships. Experience with building materials and millwork products and applications is a plus, however, we will train the right person.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Entering windows and doors in various vendor software platforms
- Maintain a friendly relationship with customers through the quoting and ordering process
